At the forefront of running and athletic apparel for over sixty years, 2013 has seen ASICS continue to develop their collection of running shoes to meet the needs and demands of modern day athletes.
From Olympians and triathletes to casual joggers and fitness fanatics chasing a PB, ASICS pride themselves on complementing all running levels with performance, comfort and support the basis for their successful products.
As we approach the end of the year, ASICS expertise has been acknowledged with several high profile awards at the 2013 Running Fitness Awards – voted for by runners themselves for added prestige.
Now in its 15th edition of the award winning running shoe, the Asics Gel Nimbus 15 continues to deliver the best comfort for neutral and underpronating runners.
With a new upper which introduces the FluidFit two-direction stretch mesh, this along with the Heel Clutching System and Discrete Eyestay Construction ensure a superb fit that makes all those miles just that little bit easier.
Further aiding the overall comfort of the Nimbus 15 is the full-length SpEVA and the innovative FluidRide midsole construction which delivers a sublime run every time.
No matter how experienced or great a runner you are, fatigue will always set in and so to help you run more efficiently the Full Length Guidance Line (a groove running along the centre of the sole) guides your foot through the gait cycle.
The classic and well respected Asics GEL-2000 series is back and with a new name in the guise of the Asics GT-2000 Running Shoe.
With unsurpassed cushioning and a superb fit, the GT-2000 is perfectly suited to longer runs and with the lightweight Hotmelt upper, the reduction of stitching means less chance for any irritations. Just like its predecessors, the new GT-2000 is all about performance, stability and impressive comfort for those runners who overpronate.
The full length and double density Solyte midsole incorporates a top layer which is softer and more cushioned than previously whilst another new addition is the Dynamic DuoMax Support System, a dual density midsole with a softer top layer for enhanced comfort and more sensory feedback.
Rounding up the performance features and the GT-2000 includes a Guidance Trusstic, designed to work alongside the Guidance Line over the outsole to encourage a smooth and more efficient gait without compromising on support to the midfoot.
Not just content with running away with these awards, ASICS also took the prestigious title of ‘Best Overall Brand’. In beating the likes of leading brands such as adidas, Nike, New Balance, Mizuno and Saucony to the award, this shows the confidence that runners put in the ASICS name when it comes to their active lifestyle.
