New Zealand coach Graham Henry has recalled fit again fly half star Dan Carter to the All Blacks squad for the upcoming Bledisloe cup match against Australia in Sydney. Carter has played 3 games since returning. One for his Local team of Southbridge and two games for Canterbury in the NPC.
The fly half (Who wears Adidas Predator powerswerve Rugby boots) has been in good form since his return from his 6 month achilles injury (that required surgery to repair) scoring All 22 points in his teams 22- 16 win over Auckland on Saturday. Henry commented
“He is a key member of the All Blacks, has recovered well from his injury and has made a great return to rugby so now is the right time to bring him back into the squad,” Henry said.
Henry had been cautious about rushing his star pivot back, despite the clamour for his return following some disapointing All Blacks performances in South Africa, resulting in cosectutive loses to the world champions.
The 59 test cap player is also available for Canterburys Air New Zealand cup NPC game against Waikato on Friday night as he searches for game time and match sharpeness ready for his return.
