There have been a number of international players switching to Puma boots in the past 12 months and now there is another one to add to the list. Bulls scrum half Francois Hougaard was wearing Nike Mercurial Vapors earlier on in the Super XV season however has now changed to the new Puma evoSpeed 1 boots.
The evoSpeed 1 boots have been created from a soft and ultrathin microfiber material, the Evospeed 1 is one of the lightest boots on the market. Designed to meet a criteria of “light, flex and fit”, this is the footwear worn by Puma athletes such as Hougaard who deal in speed.
The anatomically engineered one-piece outsole ensures stability and support, utilising high-tech materials to maximise flexibility and minimise weight. In addition the evoSPEED 1 also features an external heel counter for extra support whilst the new Puma evoAptoLast provides a snug and comfortable fit across the foot.
