Over the past few weekends you may have noticed a few players wearing different coloured boots. Surprisingly this is how they are designed rather than players opting to wear two different colourways. Puma’s latest ‘Tricks’ range offers a ‘bluebird white’ left boot accompanied by a ‘beetroot purple’ right boot. The colourway has been run-out on both of Pumas leading boots; the evoSPEED and the evoPOWER.
With smooth curves, lightweight performance and a sleek look that means business; the Puma evoSPEED delivers a model which unleashes a devastating world of speed for players who dare to be different.
An optimised blend of light, fit and flex, the evoSPEED 1.2 has been created from a monolayer microfibre which is both soft and light. As one of the fastest boots on the pitch, comfort and stability are not sacrificed as the internal EVERFIT cage provides midfoot support and a snug fit.
Not every feature of the evoSPEED 1.2 is immediately noticeable as the soft tongue along with the padded heel and ankle ensure comfort and protection from the moment you slip a pair onto your feet.
Heralding the end of the Powercat model, the evoPOWER 1 somehow manages to cram in a fantastic array of performance enhancing features. Puma have used their own signature material AdapLite on the upper which is quite simply a lightweight and supremely soft material designed to replicate a motion of barefoot kicking. It stretches lengthwise to deliver maximum power whilst retaining the original shape from lateral forces.
Where you have power then you also need protection, which is where the AccuFoam comes into play. Presented across the kicking area of the foot, this allows for more power and accuracy when striking the ball but also helps cushion the impact. A greater surface area for striking the ball is also created by the off-centre lacing design.
Continuing the latest advances in technology along the sole and the Gradual Stability Frame (GSF) has been designed in such a way so as to mimic a barefoot feel and unleash more natural power.
