With the regular season in the Aviva Premiership finishing last weekend, Leicester Tigers took the opportunity to show off their latest stripes and launch their new rugby kit for the 2013/14 season.
Taking to the field against London Irish, Leicester got off to a winning start in their new look by recording a 32-20 victory and will continue sporting their latest rugby shirt against Harlequins in the semi-finals.
Here at Lovell Rugby we decided to pay a closer look at what could well be the design as worn by the Aviva Premiership Champions next season.
Made by rugby experts Canterbury, the Leicester Tigers Home 2013/14 S/S Pro Rugby Shirt is a rather less striking offering than last seasons effort, taking on a much more traditional approach to deliver a winning look both on and off the rugby field. A distinct evergreen tone dominates the top and is joined by simple white, red and black bands running across the chest.
In Canterbury’s own words, the new shirt ‘reflects the long-standing heritage of the most successful club in English rugby, blending memories of a traditional striped design with a modern look and feel.’
The Leicester Tigers badge takes pride of place stitched atop the left chest whilst the Canterbury branding is sported on the opposite side. As is now customary with the Leicester Tigers rugby shirt, the Caterpillar sponsor also takes up residence over the chest, right sleeve and back of the neck.
If you really want the look of the players, then you can also purchase the Players Test Rugby Shirt. Designed for a tight fit as worn on the rugby field, this will certainly make you one of the team.
9 times English champions and twice Heineken Cup winners, the Leicester Tigers are the most successful English club side and you can feel the mighty roar every time you pull on this rugby shirt.
