The Offload’s Top 3 Performers from the Weekend
November 14. 2017
The highly anticipated autumn internationals got underway this weekend, and we were treated to some impressive performances and some that were forgettable. England did well to keep Argentina quiet, Scotland scraped a win against a spirited Samoan team, Wales fell short to an ever-improving Wallabies team and Ireland picked up their biggest ever win over the Boks.
In other results, Georgia strengthened their case to be in the Six Nations by thumping Canada and the Azzurri picked up a close win over Fiji. The All Blacks got their win in Paris but it was far from the complete performance, especially in the second half. It’s been tough to choose a Top 3 but we’ve finally managed to whittle it down.
It was only Antoine Dupont’s second start for Les Bleus on Saturday evening, but if you didn’t know then you could’ve easily mistaken him for a seasoned international. Whilst he may have finished on the losing side in Paris, his individual performance has got a lot of people excited about what the future holds for the young man in a French shirt. Dupont beat 7 defenders, made four clean breaks and ran for 91 metres. Not bad stats considering he was up against Aaron Smith.
